[color=#000000]I will be offline for a while folks. How long depends on how quickly I adapt to Windows 7 and how much trouble I have getting my DSL configured on it. My Alien is out for delivery as I type this, so I am just waiting for FedEx to show up.

Yes, I said Alien. I ordered an Alienware Aurora Intel Core i7 920 overclocked to 3.2Ghz, 8MB cache;
12GB Triple Channel 1333MHz DDR3;
2GB GDDR5 ATI Radeon HD 5970;
500GB - SATA-II, 3Gb/s, 7200RPM, 16mb cACHE hdd;
1TB SATA-II, 3Gb/s, 7200RPM, 32MB Cache HDD;
24X CD/DVD burner (DVD+/-RW) w/double layer write capability;
24" Dell ST2410 Full HD 1920 x 1080;
Windows 7;
Logitech 500W RMS, 1000W peak Z-5500;
Saitek X52 Pro Flight Control.

The Saitek showed up a week ago and I have been using it ever since; love it. The Logitech also showed up but I do not have it hooked up to the old system. Decided to wait.

Cross your fingers for me, in hopes I do not have too many or too serious problems getting back up and running FS.

Good morning Larry... :)

Not sure what all that electronic gadgetry is or does Larry as I know nothing about these electronic gizmoes.   :-[

All I want you to tell me is:

Does this new thing of yours have a nosewheel or a tailwheel.  Is it amphibious, does it come with wheel/skis, hope it is a big old oil dripping radial and not one of those suck and blow jobs.

Can't wait until you get back up and running.

Smile Larry...waiting for new items is like:
"Time to spare...go by air".... ;D

Ok I am going to go and hide now.   :P

Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug

I am still, no not patiently, waiting on FedEx. I can't remember what general time they deliver here, as it has been a long, long time since I get a FedEx package. But I do remember they deliver earlier than UPS and they knock on the door and wait for you to come sign. UPS just leaves it on the porch and runs.

UPS employees would be in serious trouble if they did that on this side of the Puddle. Our regular UPS man got the sack for doing just that.

Hope your chap turns up soon. ;)

I think you'll be happily surprised with Windows7...... especially setting up and installing any hardware. Your DSL will be a doddle ........ Windows7 will probably do it for you ...... almost.

Have fun .......

I hope that Windows 7 license key is for 64 bit and not 32 bit  :o

A tad overkill, but I hope it lasts you a while.
