Warbirds Over Wanaka 2010

Postby glennlcasey » Fri Mar 12, 2010 9:54 am

Hey fellas,

sorry for the hiatus. Been having a few compy troubles again, plus i dont really know my password for Simv anymore so i'm trying to stay logged in as much as possible.

So who is going to Wanaka for the Airshow over Easter? I'm flying over from Perth next week for a holiday in NZ with the main focus on Wanaka.  Got a 3 day gold pass and am really looking forward to seeing the wing walking and the Zero.

Hi Glenn... :)

If you can will you post some shots of the Zero and whatever info you have on it.

I am not sure how many actual Zero Aircraft there are still airworthy in the world.

What are your flight plans, can I assume you'll have a stopover in SSY?

well i'm flying direct from perth to Auckland on this litte baby

leaving at 1750 and arriving at 0510, then training bussing and ferrying during hte next two weeks to wanaka.

And as for the quantity of photos? i dont think that will be a problem. I took 7112 at the Avalon Airshow Last year, andwas only let down by the battery getting low :-P.

I'm stoked to be seeing a real Zero. Can't wait, the hornets are an added bonus, plus the wing walking???? I'll be in drooling heaven :-P
