As it pertains to this thread : http://205.252.250.26/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaB ... 66874967/0

It would be interesting to learn what the ratio of Highspeed - Dial up users here at Simviation is.

Paul...."Dial-up" was a long time ago... ;)...!

I agree, but we still keep hearing about it, so now this is the time & place to finally find out who's running, and who's crawling.  ;)

I can remember the time when Dial-up was the only choice for me, (including the lower cost) and I can imagine that  the situation regarding availability, and cost, still exists with many Internet users.

I fondly? remember flying On-Line using my Dial-up connection... [smiley=2vrolijk_08.gif].... ;D....!

I'm quite happy with my 12Mbps plan.

Plus powerboost.

I really miss that comforting sound... ::).....

Like the sound of a 1/4 Inch Audio Tape transferring Data into my 1982 trusty Sinclair 48K Spectrum (Timex) Computer....

...happy days.... :)...!

Paul.... 8-)...!

The Computer Data Transfer Rate was very similar to the speed of my Dial-up Internet connection, as I remember... It was a bit slow...;)...!

Verizon Fiber-Optic service at the parent's house. (Really high-speed)

Not sure what we precisely have up here at Uni, other than the fact that it is "high-speed"...usually.

Broadband up to 20 Mbps. Not that I ever reach that but it's nice to know it can...
