Put that junk to use! Old disk drive and printers contain stepper motors which can be used to make small wind turbines. I've been charging AA NiCd's with a turbine build around a stepper from a scanner/copier/printer.

You obviously have more brain cells than I do!

I am picturing a Dutch windmill glued to an old IBM printer.

This pic was obviously taken inside. I take the turbine down when it's not being used because it is not weather-proof. When in use, I mount it on top of a 12 foot tall telescoping aluminum pole. It's still not completely finished, in this pic you can see some fuzzy parts on the fiberglass blades, that's where I need to sand and fill to make them smooth.
