I've been giving this some thought. It might be possible in Multiplayer with a specially designed cargo aircraft with hardened floor & ramp. To the best of my knowledge this hasn't been done so far.

When my Dad was in the USAF he knew some guys on an airlift crew. He got them to bring his car over to Greece when he was stationed there, so yes it is possible if you know the right people. I don't know if it was a C-17 though. ;)

As for FS, as far as I know you will just have to use your imagination.

the short answer is NO. you can not load a "simulated" vehicle onto a Simulated C-17.  The C17 (FSD, Alphasim, or any other for that matter) does NOT have 'hardened' surfaces for you to 'drive' on like an aircraft carrier.   the FSD C17 that I have, if you open the back cargo door you can see an M1A1 Abrams Tank in the back.  That is as simulated as you can get.  ..... you can take a picture of YOU driving a tank up behind one of your friends that is flying a C17, then switch over to YOUR C17 that has a tank in back and take a pic of that..... do your flight, take another pic of it in the back, then your friend in the C17 and you in the tank going somewhere else.

thats about as good as you can get.

you can not drive onto/into a plane in FLIGHT SIM.  even if you have Crash detection turned off, you can not do it because the planes do not have hardened inner surfaces.

thank's guys, if i wanted the p**s taken i'll talk to the wife, i'll take that as a no then, just an idea.

Hello Wink...

I think you will find that having posed your question in the "General Discussion" Forum, rather than the Flight Simulator Forum, the members replies here are assuming that you are trying to locate a REAL Transport Aircraft to transport a REAL vehicle from one place to another.

Would we be correct in assuming that you are actually talking about a Flight Simulator FS 2004/FSX operation, rather than involving real life?

Many here, as a fact, have no real lives so they make it up by posting completely irrelevant responses to said topics.

I take offense to that statement. I DO have a real life, here on SimV.
