If you think about it, that is really quite impressive. A sort of typical flight might last 5-10 seconds if you are very lucky and your bog standard paper plane is usually going to nose dive straight after its been released. Maybe it could help inspire real world designs?

That will be a pretty nice record to hold

Not if it's trimmed properly.

I used to live in a fifth floor apartment with a window facing an alley way. I could see over the roof of the next building so it wasn't that bad. Anyway, I threw a paper plane out of my window one day and it caught the updraft between the buildings just right so that it flew in continuous circles, diving and then climbing again as it flew into the updraft. I swear that flight lasted more than 30 seconds. Of course I'm sure it wouldn't count for a world record because of the way the wind helped me out, plus I couldn't come close do doing it again no matter how hard I tried. It was cool though. 8-)

Oh that brings back memories of cutting flaps, ailerons, rudders, elevators, etc into paper aeroplanes to discover the perfect flight set up. What better way to spend History lessons than to go back to 1903?  ;D
