I still don't understand this fascination that you guys have with big ugly airplanes. ::)

If someone gave me an A380 I would sell it, buy an Aeronca 7AC Champ and invest the rest of the money. Take that. 8-)

Alright, so now we can all say what we actually got for Christmas. I received the book that I told you all about earlier in this thread and then today from my Dad I got a digital caliper, a very nice dial indicator, complete with a magnetic base and sturdy arm set-up, and also a heavy canvas tool bag. What can I say, I'm a technical person and these are things that I will use. I am very pleased with these gifts. :)

Wouldn't it be fun to tell what we got for others as well? After all the season is about giving gifts as much as it is about receiving them. My Dad is a big Monty Python fan, so I gave him The Life of Brian and The Meaning of Life DVDs. He also loves cooking on an open fire, it's like one of his hobbies, so I gave him a skillet made for camp fire cooking. The thing is that this skillet is about 2 feet wide, lol. I don't know if he will ever use it, but he likes it. I also got a classy looking metal Guinness sign (the beer, not the world records) for my friend, he has a bar room set up in his basement and it should fit right in hanging on the wall down there.

I got the Curtis LeMay bio, a Browning Rage compound bow, flight lesson (finally getting my private this weekend), money, a gift card to Barnes and Nobel, couple shirts and belts, a tiny RC helicopter, and Star Trek Online. :) :D

I got my sister a pearl necklace ($18) and my grandfather $20 worth of lotto tickets. I'm a college student, so I can't afford much. ::)

I got my sister a pearl necklace

So much could be written about that remark, but it would probably get me banned for life ;D ;D

Anyway, I did rather well. I got an infared remote release for my Nikon D60 along with a X2 converter and Camera Armour for the body. Also a couple of books and a bread maker........A present from my wife, who forgot to buy some yeast or flower to go with it so I will have to wait until Monday before I can try it out. Maybe I should give her a pearl necklace as compensation :-X ;D ;D

I also got a twinge in the back on Christmas day............After playing tennis and baseball with my son on his Wii that we gave him. I got a bit carried away.......Little #$%&/

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.
