Shooting incident at Ft. Hood

Postby patchz » Thu Nov 05, 2009 5:55 pm

[color=#000000]There has been a shooting incident at Ft. Hood in Texas. There were 12 killed, including the shooter, a U.S. Army Major, and 31 wounded. There were two additional soldiers taken into custody as possible suspects. Motives, etc. are unknown at this time. My thoughts and prayers are with the wounded and families of the dead.

On home soil... >:(  We aren't supposed to be threatened in our own bases by our own people.  It's very shocking and sad.

My thoughts to the families of both victims and gunmen, it must be so hard on them.

A tragedy and a pity. This would have been planned in advance, I believe. I could never imagine why there are people who want to inflict so much harm and randomly kill whomever is in thier sites.   :-[

There were at least two shooters, one of whom already met his destiny.  And no they won't get minimum punishment, they will get maximum, they are military, and they pulled an act like this.

Examples will be made of them.  We pride ourselves in protecting this country, and these idiots went and compromised that image.  Do not expect an easy sentence for this, especially since he was an officer, and PTSD was NOT an issue here, according to what I heard, so this was planned...more to come later.

I still wonder why a soldier of this country would go on some type of rampage to do this..  :'(

This is very sad indeed. I do not expect military personnel to have this kind of conduct. The shooter is turly a disgrace. >:(

They first reported the shooter as being killed. Now they are saying he is alive in serious condition but expected to live. The other three possible suspects were interviewed and released, not involved.
