I'm right handed for everything, except eating (i hold the knife with the left hand), and I've taught myself to eat left-handed on purpose (well, at least it seemed to make sense at the time   ::) )

FYI Those that are right-handed use the left side of their brain and are best at things that involve logic such as math.
Lefties used the right side of their brain and are visual, creative and are better at multitasking.
That's where the statement, "Only left-handers are in their right mind," came from.
Of course, it's been found that dreams and imagination are centered in the right side of the mind -- which means that left-handers being in their right mind is only a fantasy.

If you mean my photo, that's an example of the way a lot of people hold pens nowadays. I can't imagine how they can write properly like that.

I'm right handed but eat lefthandedly....fork in the right and knife in the left

I stirr the opposite direction to RH people I know

As to using scissors with the left hand, I find it works if I hold them upside down in the left hand.

For right-handed Folks, (me,) the correct way to hold the knife and fork at the dining table, for eating purposes is;

Fork in the left hand.
Knife in the right hand.

(The opposite, is generally true for left-handed Folks).

......Except for our American Cousins who generally abandon the knife altogether, and cut/place/shovel
Win 8.1 64-bit. DX11. Advent Tower. Intel i7-3770 3.9 GHz 8-core. 8 GB System RAM. AMD Radeon HD 7700 1GB RAM. DVD ROM. 2 Terra Byte SATA Hard Drive. Philips 17" LCD Monitor. Saitek Cyborg X Fly-5 Joystick. ...and a Briggs and Stratton Petrol Lawn Mower.

Try cutting your finger nails on your right hand with your left hand, using a pair of right-handed Scissors....

...result.... blood, skin, and tears... :o...!

Paul... ;D... ;D...!

Fozzer, there was a great little tool called a nail clipper that was invented a while back. You should really check it out... ;D

Andrew...

..when you have 76 year-old nails on the ends of your digits, it requires the power of a Chain-Saw to trim them...

..dainty little Nail Clippers are for Ladies with delicate fingers, soft finger-nails, and fluttering eye-lids....... ;).... ;D...!

Paul...with a right-handed Chain Saw.... ;D... ;D... ;D...!

You could try heavy-duty toenail clippers Paul. If all else fails I can recommend one of these. :D

[color=#000000]Come on Paul, get with the program. Technology is the key. I use my Dremmel Tool and grind 'em off.

Left handed, not very creative, best at math / science. Also put Fork in the left hand and Knife in the right hand.

That is how I learned how to write with a pen. I can't imagine anyother way to be as easy, comfortable, or practical.

Unless you're in the military and/or out in the field where it is proper to use the MRE spoon and your Ka-Bar, folding knife, or bayonet.... ;D

I didn't know it was 'proper' to hold the fork with the left hand and cut with the knife using the right hand. But why does it matter?

Now I'm the one that's confused. LOL
