I'm still working on becoming a parent, but if that were one of my Marines, I'd be flipping out...I can just imagine what the feeling was as a parent.  Kinda makes me sick to my stomach as the wife and I are starting to try for a family.  My kid is going to be chained to my wrist.

I'm very happy for the baby to be alive and well. That mother... what a stupid cow (and that's mildly said). Prams have parking brakes just to prevent these kind of situations.
