I appreciate the support as a Wings fan...but Wings vs Penguins?  *YAWN*  Beat them last year in the Stanley Cup, I'm shooting for the Canes in the East, add a little variety to the series  :)

(That's IF we beat Chicago...Game 1 is Sunday!!!!!)

See, thats the diffrance between being a TrueFan of a team, and just a Fan of a team. Now don't get me wrong,
You automatically feel that the Wings are, #1, Going to make it to the Cup Finals, and #2, that if they play the Penguins, It's just gona be another asskicking, and the Wings are gona win Sir Stanley's Cup, and that's cool because IF it was the Rangers heading into the final, I'd be feeling the same way, so no offense intended.

But me, being JUST a Fan ( DETROIT IS my 2nd Fav Team ), I get the advantage to watch a rematch ( or should I say a reGrudge Match ), for the Pengs to be looking for some payback from last year, which should make for some great Games in the Cup Finals, (and ain't this what we wait for all season?), I hope it gets down to game 7 with at least 1 OT to see who really wants the Cup!

Alot of people miss out on hockey cause, it's to fast for them to keep up when watching, and the  "I don't understand the RULES" excuse!
Hockey Playoffs gotta be the most intense playoffs than any other sport around!

I just wish I can be at the games live, than watch it on the tube!
I lived in NY and got into The Garden many times to watch the Rangers play. But I moved out west, and if I'm lucky I might get to Denver to catch a game, and "I HATE the AVs" ;D! So if I'm lucky and I get the timeing to see a game, I try to see one where hopefully the AVS will play a team that will beat there ass ;D

And besides, were the hell do these southern teams even learn how to play on ice? I still think it is blasphmy when Teams from FLA. and SanDiego were add to the roster's ;D ;D, AND They DO Well :o.

Any way " GO WINGS ", looking foward to some great games, and when it's all over, We'll be suffering hockey withdrawls :'( till next season starts!

I can see how some would want a rematch this year, and it would still be entertaining, if not exciting, to see a wings pens matchup again.  I would just prefer a Canes matchup.

Ok, I missed the game tonight due to work (put in a 16 hour day if anyone is offering sympathy)

Detroit Leads Chicago 2-0
Pittsburgh Leads Carolina 2-0

Still early, and a LOT can change over the next week.  Wings play tomorrow night, lets keep our fingers crossed and Octopus at the ready  ;)

I have a feeling Carolina will turn this game around, they aren't a team to tamper with this year, we'll see what happens.  And let's hope Chicago doesn't get a wildfire up their rear and start whooping on us  ;D

OK gotta get this off my chest,
How can you even say that the Stanley Cup is a YAWN?

It's what Hockey is all about, to last all season.
Think about this, Even Basketball players don't suffer as much physical stress as a Hockey player, and baseball players would die 1/2 way thru the season if they had to play a sport that is so physical demanding.

They say that the only reason Football players only play one game a week, is because they would die if they played anymore than that!
I think it is amazing that Hockey players have an 82 game season.

I'd watch the Stanley Cup even if it was the Phoenix Coyotes against the Atlanta Thrashers (God forbide ;D), It's just a matter of who wants it! And It makes for good Hockey.
Hell, I even got the Ol'Lady watching.
Any way this game 3 between Detroit and Chicago got me on the edge of my seat I wont say whats going on in case ya tapeing it to watch later but I'm getting set to watch the 3rd period, and not for nothing, but the Pengs are looking for payback.

:)  Don't get me wrong, a playoff game is a playoff game, no matter who is playing.  I made my statement as a Wings fan, not a hockey fan.  No matter who is playing I will watch, I was just adding some emphasis to my bragging about the Wings.

As for tonights game...the officials had it in for the Wings...no contest.  We still managed to come back from 3-0 and bring it into overtime, but those refs made some terrible calls early in the game, the outcome should have been different.

Wow Carolina is really getting there ass handed to them :o

The Red Wings game tommrow should be a close one but I say the Red Wings will win a close one.

Seems like the Carolina v.s. Pittsburg is high scoring game. In game 2 they scored 5 goals in the first period.

In my opinion it looks like another matchup for Red Wings v.s. Pittsburg....

**YAWN** again  ;D

It's not over yet, Carolina could get a fire lit under their butt and take this series down, it's happened before (cough Wings VS Ducks a few years ago where the Ducks came back and whooped our butt cough)
