Rather an enditement of our modern news hungry need for celebrities. Whilst I do not take anything away from this lady, she was 9 WEEKS old when this happened. She would not have any recollection other than what she has been told and I find that to be a little bit fake :-?

Would you feel the same if it had been you that had survived such a disaster?

If I was nine weeks old, then no I am pretty sure I would not. All you memories and recollections belong to other people. You have no first hand experience other than to say I was their. Maybe I am not putting it across very well. You are a veteran of the Vietnam war, a possible comparison would be some guy who worked in the stores safe and sound at the rear telling front line stories like it was there own after making one delivery trip to the front for ten minutes. Ms Dean has a story, no doubt about it, it is just the way that it is presented that is not my cup of tea.

I understand your point and agree with it for the most part.
But what I'm considering is this. Irregardless of how old she was and what if any memories she may or may not have had. She was still on the Titanic and she did experience it. Maybe it was a good thing that she didn't remember it first hand. I can't imagine the survivors guilty and the horror the older survivors dealt with all their lives.
Just as I experienced my birth because I was there. I must admit having no memory of it other than what my mom and grandmother told me.
May they all rest in peace.
May the rest of us not forget the lesson of what unbridled pride and arrogance can do.
