Yes, it is officially to launch on October the Tenth, 2008 at 12:43am EST.

I thought some of these photos were cool, especially the second one:

Uploading the ones I iked would have been really hard on the pictures. I think this way is better. Technically it is not a linked image.  ;)

I got some good news, and some bad news.  :D (This is funny because my science teacher plays that song when he hands back tests)

Anyway.

Good News: STS-126 may launch a few days earlier than originally planned.

Bad News: Due to a malfunction on Hubble, there is currently no launch date for STS-125.

Here's an article for ya'

Its a short list of folks I WOULDN'T kill to get a ride on a space shuttle mission.  A very short list.

Just so you know.  Keep that ride on the shuttle you get to yourself.  Dont let me know about it or I will off you, have my face re-constructed and take your place.  They can kill ME afterwards, just so long as I get to take the express elevator to black space!  LOL

Speaking of Black Space, anyone know when Virgin Galactic is gonna start taking paying passengers?  Not the shuttle by you get into space officially and get those M&Ms to play with.

Virgin Galactic i already taking deposits (10%, I think, or $20,000), but I don't know when they start flying.

I'm waiting for the orbital SS2 (SS3?).
