Oh yeah Pack light for basic, they take your stuff and lock it up after they give you your ABU's. No more then a weeks worth of clothing if you must. You will never wear it the whole time you are there, but when you get to tech school, you may have time before your first base to get your stuff, so just relax.  ;)

Good on ya! My ASVAB was 63, but I was a drop out and that was 20+ years ago, I think I've learned something by now.

They both will work perfectly, until you open windows.

ok...

Tack on some waiting time. I had to get my heart rate below 100 for the exam and the lowest I could get was 105 so I'm disqualified pending a medical waiver. That can take up to two months so I'll have to just wait this summer to see what happens.

What really got me is after I got DQ'd I went to get lunch, drank a soda and my heart rate was 80 bpm....

My son is in Ft. Benning, Georgia now. He got there real early this morning. He will be there for 2 1/2 weeks, then off to somewhere else. I'm not for sure where. I wont get to see him until around the 4th of July. :'( :'(

That's very true!

Luckily there weren't too many people there so the process was fairly smooth and minimal waiting.  8-) Except for the whole disqualification thing it wasn't too bad.
