2. When it runs out over there and we pop up and say.. "oh my.. look what we have been hiding for 100 years"LOL

Funny you should mention this, Nick. I read an article years ago that suggested that the USA had plenty of oil and that we were sucking Saudia Arabia dry. Once that happens, the US would become the new OPEC and, in turn, would give them a taste of their own medicine.

The USA imports most of its oil from Canada and South America

this entire "mid-east" price gouging stunt is a sham and always was

As long as typical people do not understand how the real world works they will continue to get away with it at the gas pumps

Since 1948 ever since they learned keeping the mid-east in turmoil makes it possible to play price games with fuel, every time a US President other official shows up over there in Saudi and the headlines about the trip are "oil prices" or "oil production" its a magicians trick...

Now you've reminded me of the editorial cartoon of Bush's last trip to Saudi in an attempt to get them to increase oil production.

Bush is on his knees, pleading with the Saudi King. The King has his head turned backed to his aide, stating "Give him a fruit basket and send him on his way."

Thanks for setting the record straight.

its not politics .. its the real world and it affects everyone

there is nothing stated thats suggests one system of government or ruling party is better than another nor does it mock or degrade one over another

although the statement about the political cartoon starts to move in that direction the rest of the discussion does not warrant such action and I dont think Chris's point was political in nature but more on the lines of 'seeing things for what they really are' and not what they are made to appear to be for the 'show'.

anyway I said my piece..

That's why I said there was no argument or debate here, I understand that it's real world, and I would love to see this thread go places since it is something of interest to everyone, but we need to remember to avoid entering political figures and such into the equation here...just a friendly reminder to everyone for the future posts here

BigTruck,

I agree with Nick. I didn't mean it to sound political.

I'll say nothing more on the subject.

Chris

I fully understand that it wasn't meant to be political guys  :)  It would just be a better idea to aim away from bringing up political figures and such...not trying to be fun police here, just have to be careful with a sensitive subject such as this  ;)

No harm no foul, just making sure we veer away from anyone going full politician on us.
