I haven't gotten this pumped up from the news since the Russia/Georgia debacle.  It would truly be hilarious if it deleted itself.

2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.

If/when it does ever activate, hopefully it'll irreversibly corrupt Myspace.  Not that the site wasn't already bankrupt and corrupt to start with. :P Who said viruses could do no good, huh? ;D

Infection Test - Conficker Eye Chart

Postby basys » Fri Apr 03, 2009 2:07 pm

Hi Folks

Not a joke.

re: Checking for infection.
The conflicker worm blocks access to specific security websites.

That makes it extremely easy to test whether you're infected.

Just access the Conficker Eye Chart page in your browser.

It calls images from 6 security websites,
which allows you to instantly see if you're infected by Conflicker.

I'm not worrying about it. Think about it:
A worm infects 15 million computers.
They activate and recieve information from maybe 7 million due to antivirus programs.
What, exactly, are they going to do with that much data? Spend hours searching for your hidden credit card password? Ha....
Odds are low but all who were smart enough to have antispyware/virus/adware/etc are already safe.

Tcco, the odds are higher that you would have another virus infecting your computer and most (if not the conficker worm) are smart enough to keylog instead of gather information, which means they already know all of your information. Again the odds are low and with adequate protection you will be fine.

A great point given there!
