so often i'm sure you have experienced things dropping off the table and just disappearing.......or trying to find things in the house, which also seem to have disappeared......well, it's simply alien abduction.....the alien children are not allowed to take people so they practice on removing things.......

I think I know what you mean....  I babysat one of my friends 4 year old kids a few years back.
The little guy walked out of the washroom buck naked and the conversation went like this...
Uncle Steve: Joseph were are your clothes?
Joseph: I dont know.
Uncle Steve: I know I saw you enter the washroom fully dressed, what happened?
Joseph: I dont know.
Uncle Steve gets out the plumbing snake and starts pulling little Joseph's clothing out of toilet drain.

Uncle Steve: How did YOUR clothing end up in THIS toilet?
Joseph: I dont know.

After a quick turn in the washer and dryer, ( clothing ) he was redressed. His mom came to pick him up an hour later.....

Marina ( Josephs mother ): How was Joseph?
Uncle Steve: I don't know.

:)           True story!

I've definitely experienced the phenomenon of dropping a pencil or a small piece of hardware and having it apparently vanish. I think somewhere in another universe, a hole opens in the sky and pencils, screws, and lost socks fall onto these huge piles... ;D

Or how about placing a tool on the bench, leave for a few minutes, and come back to an empty bench.

What about when it disappears even when you don't walk away from the bench

Talking about losing things from a workbench. Men's trousers had turn-ups when I first started work. Not so much the fashion, you couldn't get them without. If you dropped or lost something your trouser turn-ups was the first place to look. Amazing what you could find in there sometimes. :o ;)
