i can't understand why a home or a town for that matter, doesn't have a safe area around it wide enough to prevent contact with flames...especially in an area prone to wild fires? would that be too difficult a thing to do?
Whenever I look at the areas surrounding Houses, and small Towns, in places like the U.S and Australia, etc, I am amazed that they build, and continue to build, properties in densely wooded and scrub-land areas, leaving them wide open to the danger of fires in fire-prone Seasons!
Those same type of dangers do not seem to occur in England where the occasional tree in a populated area poses no widespread danger!
Some of our members often post photos of the area surrounding their House...and the first thing that springs to my mind is...DANGER!

...!
A falling tree, or a tree on fire, or dry scrub land, is not something to have near to your house..trust me...
