:'(

That was one famous airport that helped thousands of people throughout some of the most trying times in recent history.

It's highly unfortunate that today's the last day of operations.

I have flown in and out of Templehof on number of occasions. You really get a, "I think I will lift my feet up a bit just in case" feeling going over the houses and flats. I have also had to spanner on the ramp in the winter. Never been so cold in my life, but as I felt the same during an engine change on a 738 at Tegel, I think it is more to do with deepest Germany than the airport itself though  ;D

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.
