Magnacoaster

Postby Steve M » Thu Oct 23, 2008 5:51 pm

I was listening to a talk radio show this afternoon and they interviewed this guy who has established a way to turn a magnet off and on again. He said this means that he has made a generator that does not need rotating parts between magnets to generate power therefore does not need mechanical input such as gas engine or water power. it only needs a 12 volt battery to start it, which is recharged once this unit starts. He will be producing the magnacoaster for the public in about a month. It will easily run a household and replace traditional furnace, air conditioner, and elimanate our need for utillity companies. The unit for housing is coming on the market between 15 and 20 k. A unit for cars is being installed in a vehicle for testing by a company in Hamilton. You can check it out at www.magnacoaster.com
Sounds to good to be true. ::) ::) ::)
P.S. He said there are two guys in Austrailia are already using something like this to power their homes. :o

Seems way too good to be true...  and the pesky laws of thermpdynamics keep popping to mind.

From his website...

"Do we break the laws of the universe ?

No as there not laws there saying from people in the past we seem to get stuck on the fact that rules and times change."

Can someone help me with that? I think I get the jist, but...

Tilley was the most recent one that I remember. Only he got people to invest $$$.  Don't know if he went to jail or not.

I have seen that list, and others. I love how none of these manage to work, but people will claim that the gov't will come along and hide, kidnap kill, supress, what ever.

The fact is energy idependence is possible for the individual, just not economically feasible.

This one sounds a lot like a perputual motion deal, and his website already mentions government interlopers.

He developed this concept last year, strange we have not heard about it.

What actually tweaked my mind is that this person does not want investors. He said General Electric had conversed with him and he ended with no. By the way, I'm not trying to promote this product, but
it interests me. ;)

Understood.  And I would not want to put down anyone that has sweat equity in a garage R & D that may help the world either.  Thats where we got these fancy machines on our desks.

I always hope for a break through that will make energy more accessible, and less expensive. But when some tells me you can get something for nothing, I get suspicious.

This guys solution seems more likely:

Okay Willis is not exracting money from investors. He may be trying to sell to suckers directly, and get money there. Either way, if the unit is bogus, its a scam. I did say "if". I too do always hope these things work.

I did a little research. There is a clean energy website (http://peswiki.com/index.php/Main_Page) that keeps up with these things. They simply say this guy looks like he is still deep in the R&D.

On the hydrogen generator for cars, or... cars running on water, it's B.S. ;)  My father and I installed this system on his paper route car hoping to see an increase in gas mileage as claimed, all it did was rust out and lock up his carburetor. And even if this stuff does eventually come to a working status, do you think oil companies would want it to succeed? They have an awful lot of money and influence these days, and would be pretty hard to stop.

I don't think that is what the guy is claiming at MIT.

His idea is to use solar power to seperate H from the O2 in water. That allows the Hydrogen to be stored for later use after the sun goes down.

Its a none organic form of photosynthesis.

I dont remember that the flipping of magnetic fields generates energy. It all sounds a bit fishy to me, but i havent seen the machine IRL yet.

Well, anyway Pepper, I'm still keeping one eye on this as he resides about 20 minute drive from me. He's been on a few local tv shows but I didnt see them. But would'nt it be nice if it was true.
