Not exactly -- we've mentioned the explanation concerning a short story I wrote in high school (well, some was from 6th or 7th grade). Actually, if your banana-shaped universe is well beyond the ripe stage, even the coloring is about right; the force in question is undoubtedly from our known universe going down in the flush...

My wife's nephew had the best description I've ever heard of the big bang theory.

I was watching something on it on the "Science Channel". The kid is like 6 years old and was sitting there all enthralled with show for some strange reason.

When it described the bang and showed the stars and galaxies all spiraling away. He looked down talking to himself and said, "Hmm, looked allot like God farted and flushed the toliet."

We all started laughing our ass's off. He looked up like,  :-? , what's so funny?
