Human made ice cream?

It's funny, isn't it? The moment anything remotely human is included, people in general get all squeamish.

Cow's milk - made by the same processes for the same purpose as human milk - feeding the animal's young - is one of the staple consumables of the Western world, yet as soon as you mention human milk, it's suddenly considered repulsive.

Strange thing is, I completely agree that human milk in ice cream is a strange if not outright disgusting notion, but press me to justify this opinion and I'd come up short. I guess its just a subconcious thing... people just don't like the idea, for no reason other than it seems someow unnatural - I find this strange in itself, as well. I mean, babies are breastfed, and I don't know of any adult who finds the idea of this revolting.

On the contrary. I think you will find that a lot of adults find the whole idea revolting.

I just want to watch.  What they do with the stuff afterwards doesn't matter to me.

Personally I think PETA needs to be abolished to some island in the Pacific where they can protect all the animals they want.  How a man lives without steak or bacon and eggs is beyond me..............BACON!!!!!

If PETA had a collective brain they would realize there likely isn't enough human breast milk available to make the tons of ice cream (about (US)6.75 million tons or around (US)1.5 billion gallons in this country alone) produced annually. The average dairy cow will give at least five (US)gallons of milk daily. The good producers will give out around eight (US)gallons per day.
Then there's the issue of human-born virus' and diseases slipping into to the supply. Pasteurization should kill any bugs, but are you willing to take that chance? I'm not! BTW, I drank raw milk while growing up and was sick less often than I am drinking pasteurized/homiginized milk.
And lastly there's the overall quality of the product and the taste.

But if it happens, I'll show up ready for work...with warm hands of course.  ;) ;D

...mmm....and wouldn't the "milkers" have to have a baby every year like cows do to ensure a constant supply of the white gold?...millions of extra mouths to feed and what would they feed on...Formula I presume :o

All that for a 99 "with a difference"..........commoner ;)

I find using human breast milk for ice cream kind of disturbing. I would not want human breast milk in my ice cream. :P

Or in anything. Very strange. Very disturbing. None for me thanks.

8-)

Edit: While in this thread, I'm getting ads for baby stuff.

;D

...mmm....most Ice Cream Parlours stick with COW milk as the basic ingredient.....but apart from human milk I suppose we could have the whole range of mammalian milks and creams......seal milk is VERY creamy.......and the list is endless.... Elephants would give a big supply and such as tiger and lion would no doubt be favourite with macho type guys ::)

Milking a mouse might prove tricky though ;D ....what fun we could have at the expense of our furry friends...commoner :P ;D
