I hope they do get black holes

part of the experiment would be a huge success if BH's show up and they can be observed in the split milliseconds they would exist.

and no, its not going to swallow the earth if they do

LOL!

so many misguided theories just to make a spotlight headline and write a book.. and sell tickets to speaking engagements

Thats because there's something ironic about being tongue-in-cheek concerning disappearing up your own black hole.....

What happened to that chap? Not seen him for years. Can't find a photo of him either. I would have thought he'd have plenty of work with all the doom & gloom around these days.

Perhaps his world did end. :D

I would imaging that every Town has, or had one, at one time or another.. :)..!

I remember we had one in Hereford for many years, walking round Town with his placard strapped in front and behind him...

...always brought a smile to everyone's face... ;D...!

I imagine the old Fellow met his maker (peacefully) long ago... ;)...!

Did the job of cheering us all up, though... [smiley=thumbsup.gif]...!

Its impossible  :o its sounds so easy ,I wish someone would knew what does it need to open a black infinite gravitation point (a black Hole) , instead they are looking for a bosson an X particle ...

I hope you don't have one of those super-amplified ones. Might cause passersby quite a stir should someone dial the wrong number or one of your younger relatives try to call you.

ehhhh

what they are going to discover is life is just one big circle

we are nothing more than an experiment in a another lab in which our concept of x billion years in universal existence is actually the few microseconds of that experiment.

If anyone is still tryin to figure out what all this Black Hole business is all about... I found this rap video about the LHC quite informing... unlike those on BET and MTV most times lol... (surpassed 2 million hits on the day the world was supposed to end... you'd think these 2 million people would be doing something other than sitting at youtube on there last day. LOL.)

Reminds me of the ending to Men In Black, a galaxy held in the marble of a belt on a cat, our's held in the marble of some alien kid.

But all in all, this black-hole-sucking-the-world-into-oblivion theory is all a bit over-rated, don't u think?

No, not the other day -- we're still here...

but both will happen some day... hopefully, not at the same time and probably not in that order.
