Long ago and far away....

[center]Long ago and far away, in a land that time forgot,
Before the days of Dylan, or the dawn of Camelot.
There lived a race of innocents, and they were you and me,

For Ike was in the White House in that land where we were born,
Where navels were for oranges, and Peyton Place was porn.

We learned to gut a muffler, we washed our hair at dawn,
We spread our crinolines to dry in circles on the lawn.

We longed for love and romance, and waited for our Prince,
And Eddie Fisher married Liz, and no one's seen him since.

SOME of it was in my younger era, I can relate to a few of them, but I can't vouch for the rest, although I agree with most of the rest.  You can tell I looked up to my Grandpa as I grew up (no offense to the senior crowd here, Im just saying his views had a huge influence on me as I grew older, I'm not calling you old, I was born while my mom was young, and raised by the entire family)

Thanks for sharing Rom, I enjoyed this, copied and pasted for future use (to share with my kids down the road when I eventually have them)

[color=#003300]There's mainly one thing I didn't know of nor understand now that I do:
"We spread our crinolines to dry in circles on the lawn."
