No more mice!!

Postby Steve M » Thu Sep 11, 2008 5:56 pm

I've been envisioning a mouseless computer envirement. It would be a ring you wear (on your finger) and you just pass your hand over certain quadrants on a keyboard or a "hand pad".  ;D ;D ;D

Is it possible?

What about touch pads... or roller mice?

Moving my hand that far is just a waste of energy....

Until we get thought control figured out, the mouse will remain the big cheese! ;D maybe a system similar to track IR? Instead of point and click, it's look and blink! ;)

A good idea, but I can see that failing bad.  What if you get a piece of dust in your eye?  You'd open a hundred programs at once!!!

A mouse provides speed of use combined with on-target accuracy.  Any "improvements" really ought to do the same.  Until then, I'll stick to my mouse.  Maybe we can build a better mouse (any ideas there?).

Build a better mouse and the world will beat a path to your door.
