Thank goodness theres a Grand Prix this weekend!

Ive watched titbits of it, but rather fed up of the entire BBC staff being transported to the olympics on our licence fees. What was it i read? Theres more BBC staff, MP's and other bigwigs from the UK  that have gone to china than the entire British team. Jobs for the boys and all that ::)

Seems even good old look north with peter levy is broadcast from china now. Surely just the sports reporters would have been enough - the rest from a studio here! I hope the BBC stick as much resource into the Grand Prix when they take over next year!

I agree 100%, but this is a problem with the BBC in general.
They always send too many people to games of football or motorsports and so on. My uncles a comentator for sky sports for the football, and he's said its a joke how many people the BBC send, where as with sky, it'll just be him and a camera man if they need interviews or the video of the game. The BBC will send 10 to 15 people for no apparent reason.

Jollies for the boys (& girls) at our expense. Wouldn't surprise me to see the weather forecasters out there too. No wonder the Beeb is in such a state.

Another thing that irks me, and im slightly going off topic here, but its news channels and programs such as the BBC that ram it down our throats constantly how we should be not using our cars, not flying anywhere, in fact not doing anything that contributes to so called 'global warming' - yet how many tons of equipment, staff and other associated bumf have they sent to china?

What's the daftest thing you have noticed about these games........any little thing that you found totally unnecessary?

   You have to admire these Chinese for thinking of every little detail of planning etc........well next time there is a medal ceremony, watch when the flags reach the top of the poles and you will see little blasts of wind emanating from the flagpoles to make the flags "blow in the wind"...none of your limp damp floppy flags for them....they move as if in a force 9 gale.......wonderful touch...wonder who thought of that?...commoner ::) ;D
