Well Phelps just won his 11th Gold Medal making him the best Olympic athlete of all time. ;D USA took home the Silver in Women's gymnastics against China.

The way Phelps took the lead in his swim was just unbelievable.

Yep he's amazing. I heard that his first race this year at the olympics got 56 Million watchers

Well if you were the best olympian ever with the most gold medals then you'll probally getting alot of media attention the year you broke the record. The guy is a beast. He's like the Tiger Woods of swimming and im sure one day he will do what tiger did this year he'll have a major injury that need surgery and he'll swim or something and still win.
These guys were gifted and I would LOVE to be one of them.

I mean 8 to 10 thosand calories is like  :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o

The guy is ripped and buff! By all means he should be a fatty.

All I have to say is this years olympics probally wont be like any other. Its been fun so far and yes I agree ping pong (TABLE TENNIS  ;D) is really stupid but hell if I was an expert at that and could go to the olympics id consider myself as a great athlete even though its PING PONG!

Im not a huge basketball fan so im not really looking forward to that, but baseball might be fun and my brother is a really good soccer player and since USA lost I laugh at him becuase I hate soccer.  ;D

Once swimming goes away I probally wont be watching much more of the olympics unfortuantly or at least I hope I dont stop losing interest. :-/

to be fair, table tennis at the olympics is insane, when you see how fast these players can move and hit the ball its mind blowing.

Now shooting is one I dont understand, especially since they allow them to use sights and all sorts. You could just get one or two of your militaries finest snipers to enter and you should win.. That or in team GB's case one or two of brixtons not so finest. :-X

I'd like to say, fair play to the swedish wrestler who threw a tantrum on the podium, lots of people have been complaining to the press about results and athletes so far. He was the first to do it so publicly ;D

Either way Mic, its a terrible sport and should be banned, regardless of how its spelt!

On another olympic related topic, who here also agrees that Paula Radcliffe is trying to milk all the sympathy she can get when in fact shes a terrible athlete and should really just give up?

I think you'd do well to reconsider. Not too many "terrible" athletes hold the marathon world record, having won the first marathon they entered too... :)

Just because she had one bad day in Athens, and broke her leg earlier in the year.

As for the 'lympics, Britain doing alright today. Miss Adlington's done quite well for herself (not bad for someone who's been living on

GB up to third in the medal table, only 7 golds behind the US (thanks heavens for the USA Mr Phelps was born!)...

Not bad for our little island. ;) ;D

Well done to Paula Radcliffe too. She said she'd do the Marathon, and she did. Lets hope in four years time she can finally do an Olympics free from injury. :)

Yes C we (Team GB) have done great so far........just wondering where our next gold will come from in the athletics :-/...can't just think of one off hand... :(

Hopefully Christine Ohurogu will repeat her World Champs gold from last year, and Philips Idowu has a decent shot in the triple jump, being the world leader this year. :)
