Hookah

Postby waspiflab » Sun Aug 10, 2008 2:28 pm

I got my friend one of these for his birthday yesterday and was thinking of getting one myself. Anyone here tried one with the fruit tabacco? You can buy non nicotine / tar varieties, we had orange which was very nice. I used to smoke many moons ago and I dont do drugs so will this still kill me? :P cheers.

I imagine any kind of smoke you inhale would do some sort of damage to your lungs, but I'm no doctor so don't take that to heart...also, just a question, but what's the point of smoking something that doesn't get you a nicotine fix or a high?  Just a question, I too don't do drugs or anything, I was just curious of the purpose, what the satisfaction is?  (not intended to be a sneer or a jab, or to start an argument, i promise)

LOL....I'm inclined to agree that inhaling anything into your lungs would be bad for your health....BUT, going on the pollution levels in some parts of the world it is probably less hazardous than breathing "fresh" air.....

I tried a Hookah once, and I don't see the point. First of all, smoke is not supposed to taste like fruit. The "grape" flavored tobacco that I tried just tasted like the smell of bug spray, and as a cigarette smoker it just made me want to smoke a cigarette. But hey, to each his own. ;)
