OMG! speaking of ROTC we had a comp and the Air force ROTC looked absolutely ridiculous! I wanted to fight them they looked so stupid! listen to bigtruck, on Marien Corps Birthday, you get cake!

AFROTC does not express the views and opinions of the rest of the Air Force - particularly the views and opinions of those in OTS. ;D ;)

I was dragged, kicking and screaming, into "National Service" for two compulsory years, at the age of 21, in the British Army in 1955, (interrupting my Electrical Engineering Apprenticeship)...

...I hated every minute of it!... >:(...!

Being told what to do, when to do it, and where to do it, was definitely not my cup of tea!... :o...!

I have always preferred to do what I like to do, where I like to do it, and when I like to do it...;)...!

The "Military Life" was never the one for me!...too much "B.S" for my liking!... ;)...!

If you don't mind being "bossed around" by some fluffy-arsed Corporal, or Drill Sergeant, then you are good-to-go...;)...!

Paul....23146921 Cfn Fosbery. Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers. 1955 - 1957....

...and that was more than enough for me!... ;)..... ;D....!

I was in the USMC and by far the USAF is the way to go for lifestile ease.  If you like to be deployed and have more options for overseas duty stations then the NAvy is the way to go i.e Rota, Spain, Naples, South Pacific.

Now if you like small and tight-knit then the Coast Guard is the way to go, if you like the water, and you also get some good duty stations.

Just my opinion.
