Yup, my ex's parents live in a house that over here would easily go for close to a million if not more. Large front and rear gardens, 3 car garage, 4 bedrooms, 3 1/2 bathrooms, a large extension with bedroom and bathroom. Last I heard it had a mortgage of about $300,000's

Exactly,  3 bedroom 2 bath with garage might go for $70,000 in michigan but move the exact same house to san diego and it will go for a million

I wouldn't just go to work when my house was being demolished and hope the people there know what they are doing.... Because then the person who didn't commision it would probably have avoided getting smashed down.

It wasn't her house that was supposed to be demolished. Pranksters had moved the signs, obviously in her absence, and she may have had no idea what the schedule was for the lot next door.

Anyway, that sounds like one hell of a prank. Don't get me wrong, I do feel sorry for the woman who lost her house, but that has to be some kind of record a far as pranks go. Also, the contractor who tore down the house must have been a complete idiot if he couldn't tell that someone lived in the house.

It was Omaha, Blevue to be exact. My dad was in the USAF at the time and was stationed at Offut. From past posts, H, I assume you were stationed at Offut too. Did it happen to be in 1983?
