...mmm......there's a saying, in the UK at least.."It could only happen in America(USA)" and Thank God for that I say..........

Owner Mark Muller said "we're just damn glad to live in a free country where you can have a gun if you want to"

He recommends a Kel-Tec .380 pistol, which he describes as "a nice little handgun that fits in your pocket"..... :o

Nice?.......commoner ::)

Lord help us if that ever happens over here... :o...!

Every time I hear of a shooting in the news over here in England, my first thought is to search for the origin (original nationality) of the Shooter(s) involved*....

...Generally, a typical import from warmer lands appears... ;)...!

I suspect that many of the Law Abiding residents of Los Angeles experience similar problems?

In England, at the moment, the London suburb of Brixton is our nearest equivalent to Los Angeles...;)...!

Paul...Guns?...Bah!... >:(...!

The car dealership isn't handing them out to anyone without the customer passing a background check first

I've got strong opinions on this, so i'm just gonna keep my mouth shut.... ;D

No, that's ok. As soon as I voice my opinions, everybody is going to want to join in, which turns into one big argument, forcing all the mods to get their big shiny keys out. Once the thread has been locked, like every other firearm controll discussions have been in the last decade, everyone of us given a slap on the wrist by the mods, we go back to talking about airplanes and flying like we came here to do in the first place. Was anything accomplished? Not a thing, besides a few hurt feelings, possible animosity and grudges towards other members and members who may possible stop posting.

So i'm just gonna leave well enough alone and go back to escaping reality.... ;D

...interestingly....

The BBC news Channel discussed the "Offers" with the owner of the Car shop...

..a free gun with every car...

All the shoppers (except two) turned down the offer of the Car, and took the free guns instead... ::)...!

The were Kel-Tec 0.38 pistols, with a bullet clip....(thats nearly 1/2 inch diameter bullets)...

...enough make a very big hole......in something?

Paul.... :)...!

You are correct. There is no question. When you shoot something, a hole is the intended outcome.

The death rates are far more likely to added to, by a mis-use, or negligent use, or unlawful use, of the car.

I wonder what the British equivelant would be...

"Ill giv ya a ciggy an a used bus pas if ya by this *chavmobile*"

Good marketing tool though... but the consequences are a bit iffy.

This bugs me.

Believe it or not, a lot of us who who legally purchase a firearm are responsible, law abiding citizens who enjoy shooting as a hobby, and keep little extra protection around the house; NOT psychotic, homicidal, maniacs who only plan on commiting crimes with it.

You might as well label anyone who drinks alcohol a raging alcoholic who drives drunk all the time; or assume someone buying spray paint is going out to spray graffitti all over the place, and assume that someone buying a book of matches or some other fire/flammable device/substance is going to go commit arson, ect, ect, ect

People kill and injure people, and it's about holding people responsible for their own actions

Ok, now since that's off my chest, i'm gonna go ahead and slap myself, and let myself into the padded cell ;D
