$21,000 on unused hotel rooms in Argentina, replacement clothes, and other costs.

What was he doing...Staying in the VIP suites those nights...had to get a new Armani tux, or replace their entire wardrobe :o  How is it possible to spend 21 grand just on a couple nights of hotel rooms and a few cloths to get by ::)

Sure he missed his flight...but sounds like a lawyer trying to beat the system and make few bucks.  We all know how good most lawyers are at fabricating the truth ::)

Delta has a daily flight from Atlanta to Buenos Aires...doubt they are all so full.  There was probably many openings on the next days flight (tomorrows flight looks like its only 1/2 full ::) ), he probably just wouldn't accept anything under first class...that I could see a 2 week wait for :P  Something in his story sounds quite fishy :-/

Any you can bet this guy will represent himself, think of the saving........yet then, he will probably pay himself and then right it off as a tax loss and invest the money in the Cayman Islands ;D

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.
