Your choice: Nice/Nasty Forums?

Postby Fozzer » Tue Apr 29, 2008 7:46 am

In which of the various Sim V Forums do you find..

(a) The nicest, most helpful, most pleasant, humourous, chatty, easy-going, characters?

(b) The most nasty, unhelpful, unpleasant, miserable, vociferous, argumentative, characters?

...and therefore, particular Sim V Forums to either participate in, or to avoid at all costs!.... :o...?

...could be interesting...;)... ;)...;)...!

The problem is freedom of choice Paul, often the same person can be terribly helpful and then tell you that you really shouldn't have a computer 'cos you're so daft. On the whole I find we're pretty balanced around here... of course I'm habitually cruel to spammers :evil

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.

I think most of the folks here are pretty relaxed, friendly and helpful. Like Brett said most of who want to make a mess of it or are annoying leave pretty fast or change their attitude. On the other hand I don't visit all the forums here so what do I know....

After I was off line for some time, I returned to a bit of chaos. I can't speak for the forum sections I don't regularly visit but, elsewise, things have quite settled down over the past couple years...

As someone who has spent a lifetime being fascinated with the "characters" of various folks, I spend most days browsing the various Forums both here and on other Sites I participate in, and I am able to visualise the "type" of person they are from their style of writing, and their attitude in their writing.... :)...!

I can create a cartoon caricature of them in my mind........Beware... [smiley=door.gif]....... ;D....!

To me, in each of the list of Sim V Forums, from the top to the bottom, contain a group of enthusiasts in that particular subject, who fall into the two groups (and in between) I mentioned in the Post Heading.....

.....Some pleasant... :)...some not so... :'(...!

I suppose it illustrates that there are different characters, wherever we care to look.... ::)...!

I just tend to, or hope to, avoid the unpleasant ones.... ;)... ;)... ;)...!

Paul... [smiley=vrolijk_1.gif]...!

I think it would be quite interesting to see how you view forum members through real drawings. Be that as it may, I've noticed you have quite the flair when it comes to writing/responding to threads.

Keep up the good work ;)

It is always dangerous to fly at extreme "high altitudes" in your Cessna 152... :o....

It can be very chilly and frosty "up there".... :'(...

Applying Carburettor heat, and descending quickly to a "lower altitude" into much warmer conditions is always recommended... :-*...

...trust me...;)...!

One night when I was in the USAF being bored, slightly inebriated, and giddy, I got out my pastel chalks and drew cartoon characters of certain personnel based on their personalites. The squadron commander failed to see the humor in that.  ;D

The "Flight School" forum is obviously the best anywhere.
