Hard to say, but my IP identifies my computer to a location. Location has phone line, phone line has bill, bill has name and address. Name and address not secure because we see how often such info is sold, stolen etc.
So hard to say.

I don't see much of a problem with IP addresses. I don't think the average man is going to find your house just by knowing your IP. I think the phone company is the only one with that info.

I don't see it as personal info, not much you can get when you only know a few numbers. Unless of course you have a job at the company.

The odds of someone using your IP to hunt you down with ill intent are about the same as someone with the phone company or post office doing the same...why worry? Got a lot of enemies?

I thought IP's are static and dynamic...So if someone has a dynamic IP, they must be having an identity crisis or something...
