Yes f you had enough FS experience like me and most others here id say 3/4 of the people on this forum could land a 737 without crashing and killing everyone

yeah forget a real airplane... how else can you crash, and watch your plane bunny hop down the runway.

awesome simulator... however it had an airbus setup (i believe) but who cares, its a frikin simulator!!!

OK, the pilot gets on the intercom and says we will be landing in about 15 minutes.
2 minutes later the stewardess gets on the intercom and says,
"Does anybody know how to fly a plane"?"
You with all of your simulator hours say, "Sure... I can".
As you are about to open the flight deck door, the stewardess says,

I try to stay away from these sort of topics as there are way to many variables to consider but I shall list a few and give you my opinion for what it is worth.

Actually, Flying Trucker, that's a good mention. It was assumed (ahem) that the plane and flying/landing conditions were good. There are some circumstances where seasoned pilots might fail. Unlike JBaymore, I don't have a complete setup for my simulation (like, no rudder control); as you say, the feel is not the same (in reality, it's different per aircraft) -- force feedback or no. Familiarity with an aircraft makes a difference in one's flying precision and also effects one's handling of it with weather or damage problems.

Having actually flown, however, there are some cases I'm sure I'd do better with the real aircraft than its simulated counterpart.

Like Morse Code the only people that still can use the GCA type of approach is the military I think.

And as to the above.... us Ham radio operators still know Morse too .  Handy skill for flight simming......... I don't have to write down the VOR identifiers in little strings of dots and lines like most sim pilots tend to do.   8-)

It is a good idea if you don't already copy 13-30 words per minute over the air in Morse.

Certainly I find it safer to compare the audio to written morse in front of me that expose myself to the possibility of mis-remembering it.
