2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.

Given the heightened security at airports, why do something you know is going to raise red flags?  The airport isn't a place to screw around.  Just like making a joke about a bomb in an airport will get you into trouble.  

And as for the police overreacting, a police officer only gets a split second to make a decision sometimes.  If you look suspicious and have something suspicious on you, you place yourself in danger.  There have been situations where police have shot someone for trying to pull a cellphone out of their pocket, because the officer thought it was a gun.  Once again, when it comes to security and police, why attract attention to yourself.  There is absolutely no good to come of it.
