They had better find him before tomorrow. A diabetic can not last long without water, especially with the heat we got down here.

Hey Murjax ......... enough of the links to news items, interesting though they may be, cut and paste the text into the body of your post and provide a link should there be pictures included.

Not everyone is interested in clicking on links  ;) ;)

At least he was found 2 miles from the crossing, walking the rails in his bare feet.
When the deputies got to him he was dehydrated and disoriented.
He is in the hospital in Flagstaff and is recovering.

Amtrack claims they waited until the authorities got there but the man fled.

This is unacceptable behavior by Amtrack staff.  The crossing they chose is over 2 miles from the nearest road at an elevation of 8,000 feet in the middle of a 800,000acre national forest. The crossing has no shelter or running water.

...just my own worthless opinion, but I don't mind clicking on links.  Providing links is a way to cooberate your opinions in a debate.

But anyway, kicking that guy off the train like that seems criminally neglegent.  And if the guy dies, the charges might raise to manslaughter, I would imagine.

At least they stopped the train to throw him off. Back in the 1800's they would have tossed him off with the train at full speed and possibly as they crossed a bridge. So at least they've improved somewhat.... ;)

Very true Romulous. Ppl need to think about what it could be, jeez lol . Anyway yeah that is pretty crazy but I suppose they have the right to kick you off anywhere they please if they want too. After all it is private property and somewhere you agreed to their "Terms of Service" wich im sure has a "throwing out" clause. Somehow though I find it kind of weird that he was acting so stange they kicked him off, ive seen some very very strange and drunk ppl on an Amtrak. To further complicate the matter, I have known quite a bit of diabetecs and I have never seen them act in a "drunk" way when they are high or low on sugar. Most of the time if it gets that bad they pass out. How he managed to act like that, get thrown out of the train, and walk the rails and still be concious a period later? It sounds to me like he had a bit more than diabetes in him :P
