I rethink , Personaly I lived In USA , I knew Ingnorans and Intelectuals ,I think the video must have no more than 30 interview people showing their ignorance But THIS GUY OF THIS VIDEO must interview 1.000.000 persons and FILTERED those who give the ovious answeres and leave the dummys and show it to the world thart USA is a country with a stupid persons ,FOR SOME DARN REASON IS THE MOST POWERFULL COUNTRY OF THE WORD don't you think?...

LOL...those are some funny ones.

It's also amusing that all those who posted "Stupid American This" and "Stupid American That" clips, smug and secure in their ivory towers of higher intellect,  seem to have forgotten the meaning of the word "stupid." I sense a rather nasty tone in the presentation, also, which surprises me coming from Australians, who have always seemed to me to be quick to poke fun, on the average, but also willing to be good-natured and sympathetic about it. And Australians ought to know better than to think America "runs the world"... that, too, surprised me.

This particular clip displays American ignorance in all it's jaw-dropping splendor, not actual stupidity... although the two often go hand in hand.


I can't defend these people, but I will say they are not representative of the majority (although it is true that the average American is becoming less and less "well-rounded" in their knowledge of science, math, geography, history, and foreign affairs and culture; often to bizarre extremes). There are even many Americans who don't have much "book learnin'', yet have extensive practical knowledge and excellent problem-solving skills.
 I suppose knowing to keep your fool mouth shut when you're fairly certain you don't know what the hell you're talking about is a sign of intelligence, so it's possible these Americans are stupid to some extent... I'll concede that.

I also must point out that it wouldn't take long to find a few ignoramuses in any crowded place in Australia, the UK, Europe, or anywhere else... America has a lot of ignorance, but we didn't invent it, and we don't have a monopoly on it.

If you can't laugh at yourself and your own countries mistakes then you've got no right to take the mickey out of others.
Only this evening I was asked at a party for a friends daughter why I moved to Hungary. I answered quite honestly, better food, better booze, better weather but most importantly better women I'm honest... but I still have a sense of humour
