Jeez.  You'd have to be dumber than a box of rocks to actually believe that that's how stupid Americans are.  Granted, there's some stupid ones, I see them every day, but this is just outrageous.  If America were that stupid, how did we......why are we....nevermind....

It ought to be required that every person in every country live "expatraite" for about 6 months minimum when there are between the ages of 18 and 23.  Then the stereotypes and the "those people are all xxxxxxxxxx" type crap would tend to subside ........ and we'd start to realize that people all over the world share a lot of the same day-to-day concerns, needs, and that there are nice people, rotten people, rich people, poor people, healthy people, sick people, and so on in every country.

And that there is often a HUGE difference between the people.... and the outward persona projected by the government.

Do not believe what you read or see in ANY media about what all the people in country X are like.  It will be wrong 100% of the time.

To be fair, in foreign countries, you're almost exclusively meeting the "good" american tourist - open-minded, nice, always ready for a laugh and surprisingly similar to us Europeans in certain ways of thinking.

The "bad" american tourist fortunately had only one occurence in my life. A "God bless America!", "God is great!", "America is best!" kind of tourist from - no bad thought intended - Texas.
