Snow in June?

Postby dcunning30 » Fri Jun 08, 2007 10:28 am

Whoda thunk it!

Where I live, we're getting high winds.  I can't remember the winds any stronger.  I had to move my propane grill around the house otherwise the winds might knock it over.

Wyoming... ::)...?

Now there's a place I must pop over to explore, for a change from California, via Nevada and Utah...;)...!

A long trip in my Trusty Baron!

Lots of interesting scenery, from grassy plains to towering, snow-covered mountains... :)...!

I'm on a hill near the Lakes Region (which the name Winnipesaukee, "the land around the lakes," approximately translates to). The June sky has been known to shed snow flakes here when the rising vapor from the lakes hits cooler temperatures in the higher altitudes; most melts before it even hits the ground, let alone accumulate.

You live in Wyoming?!  If you don't mind me asking, what part?  My stepfather and stepbrother are from Cody, and the Crandall area, and we've been going out there for the summer for the last fifteen years or so, so it's a little like home-away-from-home.  It absolutely beautiful out there, probably one of my favorite parts of the country. :) ;)
