And also.... The Germans speak some sort of Dutch Dialect... They don't want to admit it but that's just the way it is.
[color=#003300]Now, how could anyone make that analogy from Deutschland?

Then there's the history of English origins: Angles (Schleswig-Holstein), Saxons ([now, Lower] Saxony) and Jutes (the Jutland Peninsula of Denmark). How the Germanic language of the Anglo-Saxons has changed since they tried to gag themselves with that hard "gh" in

its like the united kingdom and great britain are the same.

Errrm actually no they're not lol

Great Britain is:
England
Wales
Scotland
Northern Ireland

United Kingdom is:
All above plus
Southern Ireland
And some other little islands all around

The British Isles is:
An archipelago consisting of Great Britain, Ireland and many smaller surrounding islands

And a little unknown fact:
"Great Britain" is often used to mean the "United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland" (UK). However, Great Britain is only the largest island within the United Kingdom, which includes numerous surrounding smaller islands, as well as Northern Ireland in the island of Ireland.

And in case that wasn't enough:
As recently as 9,000 years ago, Great Britain was not an island at all. The end of the last ice age saw the southeastern part of Great Britain still connected by a strip of low marshes to the European mainland in what is now northeastern France.

So...salut mon amis Francais ;)

The word "Nederlands" is the name of the language, in Dutch...

Belgians who live in Flanders speak Nederlands, as do the Dutch...

Perhaps this is why it is so confusing to you...  ;)

Some might call it Vlaams, or Flemish, just to try and be different... ;)
But for all purposes, we use the same dictionary, the "dictionary of the dutch language", so indeed
we speak the same language.
Mind you, it sounds distinctively different!  :)

Sorry, but you have it wrong aswell ;)

Great Britain is just the main Island consisting of England, Scotland and Wales

United Kingdom is England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland (Ireland is independant of the kingdom)

British Isles is the whole lot ;)
