Ipod Video

Postby GreaseMonkey » Sat Apr 28, 2007 3:58 pm

I recently treated myself to an ipod Video 30gb and i have got all my music and photos onto it but the videos i have already on my computer for some reason arent in my itunes library. and when i do get one on into the library it says it cant get the video file onto the ipod. i know its something to do with the file format, (e.g Mpeg, div x) i just thought i could ask for a bit of advice on how i should go about this as i am realy stuck...!

..being very careful..lift one corner of the ipod up.....put your hand under the low corner, and when the videos start oozing out, catch them in your other hand...

WHAT?

You didn't expect a real answer from me did you?

Doesn't Apple use a different format to the rest of the world?

i think theyre in .m4v format or something similar. I had the same problem but some searching around the net, and i found a video converter which was free and did a good job. On some vids though the audio wouldnt sync up properly but just dlete and try again.

try searching for videora ipod converter and you'll find it easy enough

I use the Videora iPod converter; it works quite well and (most importantly) it's free.  Find it HERE.  The format should be .mp4, I believe.  If files are not showing up, you may need to add them manuallyI also have the 30 gig and use it while driving my truck to listen to music, Spanish lessons, tutorials, etc...  It's amazing.   8-)

To add files to iTunes, look here:
