that the government looks after us and protects us from the big greedy companies. Especially in economics class.

I still wonder how Easyjet make their money. Try and beat this anywhere. Note the cost of the return journey (totals about 1000 miles) and the tax (-

They make their money on the businessmen who have to fly during the hours when flights arn't that cheap. Plus they're hoping for excess baggage.

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.

You can be sure the money will spent anywhere, but on research and development for climate change. I'm not stupid and neither is anyone else, that tax rate is totally immoral. One of the most important things about a tax is that it is fair. I for one cannot see the fairness in it. Would the government prefer 150 odd cars going down the UK for the same journey? Yeah, sure. ::) The same journey by train (several trains) would take around 12 hours (this plane ride is about 1hr 10mins) and would cost, (even booking early) at least
