OK, I have no clue where this goes, it could be general, personal or real and to be honest I am too excited to care.
Tomorrow I am off to play on the company 737-800 simulator. I happened to ask in conversation a couple of weeks ago the chances of a having a go to our chief pilot, who said that it should not be a problem. Well, he rang me at home this evening and it is set for tomorrow. He has a 4 day sim slot where he trains/monitors pilots that are due sim time and slotted me in. I have no idea how long I will get, but how ever long it is, I entend to make the most of it. He is a nice chap with a cracking sense of humour (ex Star Fighter and Phantom pilot), so I probably end up with a single engine approach, frozen flaps and smoke in the cockpit (he is a heavy smoker)

Any way, I will report further tomorrow.

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.
