Well done Ramos!! :)
I couldn't agree more. GREAT JOB. Yeah that's a compliment, not a complaint.  :)

lol i love the ending - thats how i would have ended that video.

"and ummm heres an Albuquerque sectional chart" i would have added "Just FYI." to the end but that was great.

I have been a member for 3 and a half years and have NEVER felt unwelcome, rejected, turned away, or put down in any way shape or form. period.

given that i feel like i know a few members here better than some others , but my SimV experience has been grand since the day i searched the web and found this awesome site while trying to make my FS2000 experience better by downloading new aircraft... i must have spent several hours just downloading models that night and joined the forums shortly after that.

this guy seems to be going off the deep end because a hand full of people didnt like his screen shot out of God only knows how many forum members we have.

of course its a clique! like Ramos said - our clique consists every day simmers from the far corners of the earth and all you have to do to be a member of this "clique" is join the friggin thing and play nice lol

Nice vid there Ramos!!  8-)

The guy has a point though - it is important to avoid clickiness & to be especially welcoming to new members.

New members are the life blood of any forum - & need good treatment. Nothing puts me off a forum more than a bunch of in-house members sticking together & not welcoming newer members. ;)

We used to have a reputation for being especially welcoming & that must return.

& we are going to have another run on 'stooopid' posts - things like '**** comes in the room' , etc.  [smiley=evil.gif]

Great vid there Ramos! And In true style of Simv you end it with a Joke...

Another good point of us not welcoming newbies ( yeah right...) is the new Studio V an invite to all!

Boy, what a collossal waste of 1's and 0's.  I did however enjoy seeing Ramos.  I think we should all make YouTube videos so we can see what we look and sound like.  Kinda like a dating video...

I feel sorry for the guy that he is such a sad and lonely person he has to make a video slagging off one of the best and most friendly sites on the net because he has an inability to mix with people. That is really what it comes down to. I think the screenshot comments were from his misunderstanding there is criticism and there is advice... 'nuff said!
I agree with Ramos that we are all members of cliques. It is human nature to pair-up with social groups we like. I'd say that if anything is cliquish here it is the site. We are a group of very diverse people drawn together by our love of aviation and FS/CFS. People would say we're a clique ;)

I can only suppose he felt strongly enough about it to make that video & I've seen other similar comments over the years. Not everyone finds this place as friendly as we do which I think is a pity. For some unknown reason the screenshots forums seem to be the most likely place for misunderstandings to occur & only recently I've seen one or two bitter arguments in that part of the forum. I've unintentionally upset a few people there in the past with what I thought were genuine comments or questions so I usually try to steer well clear of the screenies forums now.

I agree with Doug and steer well clear of the screenshots forum.
Its no longer a case of people sharing their pictures because they like them. Its all become a competition of who has the highest specs to produce the best shot.
I used to try and welcome all new members. This place has become so popular now and my time so scarce that its become impossible. Yes there are cliques here, I think far too many people are over protective of the forums that they'll go into denial about it despite only being here a short time.
However this guy is also rather going over the top posting a video of his complaints. Its a forum for crying out loud not a place you work. If you dont like it, leave and forget about it.
This is a great forum, but its no longer the same place that I joined. In many cases for the better. I have met some great people and learned some valuable things. But there are still things that could perhaps be changed for the better.
Thats just my opinion though.

The part that made me laugh was when he said " As long as you stay away from the forums."  ;D ;D ;D ;D Honestly though. that guy should go to fly away's forums. He would look at SimV as heaven after being there for about a month.  Fly away has the exact problem except 100 times worse. I would like to find that guy and tell him to try it out.  :) :) :)

That was my first thought... this place is pretty laid-back compared to the "Our Tree Fort- Keep Out!" vibe on most other forums... ;D

I guess some take the screenshots more seriously than the flying... ::)

Personally, I don't care what this one person says... I feel it's kinda childish to act this way...

Anyway, BIG applause to Ramos for his mature answer ( well reasoned and no flaming)... nice to see you 'live'!  :)
