Those 5-second losses of consciousness are, if my memory serves well, called "Microsleeps". So if this guy really has managed to pull 11,000 all-nighters, he's probably having microsleeps left right and center.

I've done a week with only around 10 hours of sleep before, and I felt like a pile of hippodump by the weekend. Sleep depravation is not nice...

Speaking of which, its midnight here, and I have to be up in six hours for school. *me turns off computer*

I really doubt it...people die after about 6 or 7 days...

...and even then, your body would kick into short rymthic bursts of sleep (like 5 or 6 seconds of sleep every 30 seconds).

Last year there was a program called "Shattered" on UK TV. It was a big brother type program. Contestants had to stay awake for 7 nights. The winner won 100000 pounds or so.................No one died!

No, they were allowed two hours of sleep per day.

People need sleep. Sometimes people can stay up one night but people really should sleep because they need it and because their day will be miserable without a good night's sleep.

People need sleep.
A couple times I've remained awake for about three days and a number of times for well over 30 hours. When driving under those conditions it was extremely difficult to keep my eyes open at times. Definitely Not recommended. Image
