Great Global Warming Swindle

Whoever named global warming picked a bad name. People seem to think Global Warming = Earth gets hot. Wrong, like I said it involves fluctuations in both directions. Before you dismiss it entirely, do some research. Don't just say "Well, it's cold today so that must be a load of crap".  ::)

It has been the warmest winter in the past 300 years here in Holland. I don't know why, could be that our orbit around the sun has changed a little...

If I was told correctly, the Earth still gets a tiny bit further from the sun each year and was already doing during the ice age.

Wich ice age may i ask? We have had loads of em. I personaly believe were on the way to the top a interglacial era.

...It's going to bring certain problems. The sealevel is rising because of the polar icecap is melting. There will be more floodings. But there will be a solution found for that.

I believe you call them dijks -- real high ones.

Cant do, if we build em any higher there to expensive to maintain. We will need to give the land back to the water eventualy, better build more floating houses i suppose.

There was an interesting article in one of the magazines like Readers Digest or something, can not remember where I read it now.

It talked about the "conveyor effect" which in simple plain terms is:
- the tides in the Atlantic Ocean eat away at the Artic Ice
-the cold water is travelling south warming up and diluting whatever salt is present
-the warm water flows north again cooling and eating away at the Artic Ice
-again the cold water flows south warming and diluting whatever salt is present
-this in turn become a conveyor or hence the term "conveyor effect"
-we all know fresh water freezes hence some form of an ice age

Now I am not sure I am going to see this happen in my present form, maybe when the "Chief Pilot" gives me my own wings...     LMAO, none of you will probably see it happen nor your children are not likely to see it happen either.

The earth is constantly changing along with the universe and everything else.  We humans are changing in mental and physical capacity and according to the great minds and leaders for the better we hear.  

This being an aviation forum let me give you a little homework.  Runway headings, yes as the earth changes so does the magnetic field, hence runway headings will change now and again.
Now you all thought those Navigation Canada folks, FAA folks and those employed by the governments of other countries including most military branches were out there doing runway approaches of various types for the good of their health.  Wrong.  
They are checking the accuracy of equipment, runway headings and procedures and testing new techniques and equipment.  Here you thought they were out there joy riding around in tax payers aircraft, getting paid big bucks and having fun while doing it.  Shame on you.     LMAO

This is all because of "Global Warming" you say...dam...would never have guessed it.

Lol has anyone read Michael Crichton's State of Fear. It is all about the so called "global warming" and the lawyers and fearmongers that make money off of your fear.

Think about it, there are millions of other things that could contribute to the world getting warmer(if indeed it really is).
1. man, the population of man has exploded in the past couple centuries. Now there are 6 billion people. (http://www.ibiblio.org/lunarbin/worldpop) And each person has a body temperture of 98.6F. Now if you held your had close to a toaster before you would still feel some heat. So, what about humans. If you keep a chocolate in your pocket it melts doesn't it? So, maybe we are heating the planet buy our sheer numbers?
2. The sun is getting bigger and we are getting closer to it. Its basic astronomy, most stars get bigger and bigger and eventually implode on themselves. As the sun gets bigger its mass increases and in turn its gravitational pull increases and the earth slowly moves closer. Not by much though, maybe at most a few inches. Still if its warmer at the equator then in New York a few inches has got to count for something.
3. Going back to number 1, the number of other animals on earth may also contribute.

Do to the lack of concrete data either supporting or disarming the theory of global warming I personally am on the fence about it. If the theory of global warming was true it would not be a THEORY! Also, if the it truly is GLOBAL warming then way are some places getting colder? And by colder i mean MUCH colder. -128.56

I am always slightly sceptical about this Global Warming crap.  Local councils here are making us recycle and sort everything ourselves into bags for the recycling.  Pain in the arse after a while!  Not only that, the UK Government are trying to do so much to make us more energy efficient and so on, but the changes we make are only going to be a drop in the ocean.  IF the Global Warming theory is correct, more needs to be done to get the likes of the USA, India and China to cut emissions.
To be quite honest, I am with those who say it is a money-making scheme to swindle honest people out of their money.  One good example is the recent rise in airline tax for all flights.  It is bloody ridiculous!  Another thing is the government's proposal to introduce road tax to cut our emissions.  Again, stupid!
IF global warming is true, I couldn't care less.  I doubt very much that climate change will do me much harm in my lifetime, selfish I know, but I have a right to indulge in life!

Erm. No.

Recycling *does* make sense, because you can cut the size of waste dumps by that.

A start to move away from outdated resources like coal and oil.
