Great Global Warming Swindle

Postby dcunning30 » Mon Mar 05, 2007 2:29 pm

Any of you guys in the UK gonna watch this?

http://www.channel4.com/science/microsi ... index.html

The documentry suggests the highly controversial notion that instead of humans causing global warming, it's actually the sun that's causing global warming.

Imagine that!

I agree, like swings of a pendulum.  BTW, did you see the lunar eclipse the other night?

Yep...

I noticed the World got slightly warm again for a while, 'cos the Moon couldn't cast it's coldness on us during the eclipse....

....so the pendulum is slightly out of kilter now... ::)...!

Bugger... >:(...!

Funny you should mention that Paul - I reckon that ever since the eclipse I've been feeling at least 1/2 a degree warmer than I normally would - spooky huh.

Martyn...

After spending 2 hours out in the garden, lying on your back, on the wet grass, in the freezing cold, looking at the Moon, it's bound to feel warmer when you stop doing it... ::)...!

Global warming is a natural event that occurs every so many years. After this it will cool down again a little bit. Problem is that people try to make money out of this by scaring us into believing humanity is to blame. And for that they win an Oscar.......

Crash ;)

It would seem "Big" Al's real inconvenient truth is his astronomical utility bill, like 20 times above the average. Tipper must throw some wild shin-digs when Al's on the road... But then...Wouldn't you?  ;D ;D ;D

I personally predict another little ice age before the century is out.   [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

Humanity's collective ability to believe in almost anything is equaled by its ability to not believe in almost anything.

But yes, it helps to be crazy. And stupid. :)

The whole global warming thing has just devolved into an opportunity for politicians, scientists, and all manner of swindlers and crackpots to boost their prestige and/or bank accounts.

There are many, many other compelling reasons to change the way we utilize resources on this planet... but I guess most people can't pay attention long enough to understand anything more "meaty" than crap like The Day After Tomorrow or some inflammatory pseudo-documentary.

Check, please...

Brilliant. ;) That would make an excellent sig. Been looking for a new one.
