The Ten Dimensions

Postby Loafing Smurf » Sun Feb 04, 2007 12:20 am

I found this interesting video on the internet, which deals with the possibility of higher dimensions. The video and book by Rob Bryantion describes the properties and possibilities of what he describes as the ten dimensions.

To help summaries the theory of ten dimensions, I will divide the ten dimensions into 4 groups.

Group 1
Dimensions 1 to 3 are the space dimensions. We generally describe them as length, width and height.

Group 2
Dimensions 4 to 6 are the time dimensions. The fourth dimension is what we know as time. If a line in this group has a starting point and ending point, it can be easily be described as two points in time. Much like the moment were born and the moment you finish this sentence.

But, since the time dimensions are 4 to 6, we can assume that time lines can be directed in different directions. Like a time line drawn in one direction would contain your birth. But, a line drawn in another direction would not have your birth, and would produce a world with out you in it.

Group 3
Dimensions 7 to 9 are the dimensions that describe universes outside our own. As you may or may not know, our universe is an expanding bubble of space. Outside our universe could be other universes, that may be different or identical to our own. As the video suggest, a seventh dimensional line will connect one universe to another.

Group 4
This group solely contains the tenth dimension. The tenth dimension takes all time lines and universes and treats it as one point. Scientist argue that the tenth dimension is what composes the properties of the subatomic particles in all universes.

So, basically, you're saying that scientists are going through ten stages of dementia? :-?

Hmm, wonder if 11 thru 15 dimensions are reserved for various degrees of drunkeness.... :-/

Never made it past the 13th dimension under those conditions... let's just say it's kind of like a Dali painting, only with more vomit. :)

many "Theorys" Not matematical" as this one ,this video is great very didactical and easy to understand without mathematic, there's a bit of all even UNCERTAINTY & the colapse of the wave funtion in subatomic particles in quamtum levels, ::)But when the video began to talk about multiuniverses (that Hawkings obsolete theory ,I disagree, because that's when a theory wich neither Hawking has gave us a mathematical work of it yet, and was his Idea finding desperate to fix the error of the the black holes mistaken when he said ,"matter disapear along with his information",that was a hudge screw up)also about going back in time ;D,THERE'S NOT EVINDENCE THAT ANYTHING CAN TRAVEL THRU TIME TO THE PAST ,iN FACT THE PAST DOESN'T EXIST,ONLY IN OUR MEMORIES.. , The video its very good ,until they began to talk about things wich still are consider scients fiction..and BTW It won't be another Big crunch as Hawker said ,the universe in fact is increasing its expation rate, and wont stop ,The universe will die as what cosmologist call "the cold death of the universe"

BTW the "FLATLAND its a theorem made byEdwin A. Abbott 1838-1926

Probably the 15-20 are for those. The 20th being for the true space cadet.... ;)

I wonder where extreme sleep deprivation would fit on the 'dimension scale'?

IN FACT, THE PAST DOESN'T EXIST --
Sorry, I must disagree: I once read a letter from my dad where he said that he knew he was liviing in the past -- but he just couldn't see any future for himself; he wasn't there when I read it, so, oviously, he wasn't present.

GRAVITATION is NOT a force, it's a property of space & time. Objects, according to their mass, bend the space, creating a distortion.
With this, however, those with a weight problem, or anyone considering the condition of the world, might agree...

O.K., this all hypothetical: Our universe is expanding, according to scientic data. If other universes exist and they are ever expanding, like ours, it seems eventually they would intersect. What do you suppose would be the ramifications of this?
We may need Alrot's quantum physics on this one.
