Isn't it odd?  They spend YEARS and millions of dollars teaching you how to fly the most lethal machines ever developed, then when you actually DO go out and try to kill someone, they arrest you for it!   :P

Every time I look at her face in that photograph, I think to myself, if we had more astronauts like her in Space, the Aliens would take one look, and decide to go off and populate some other remote Planet... ;)...!

Paul, did you ever consider that she already encountered some aliens? I mean, how would you look after a thorough alien probing?

Crash ;)

LOL!!

I can definitely see her hooking up with Nolte, or maybe Gary Busey...

As for "President Nolte":
All he needs to do is comb his hair, put on a suit, and start making outrageous promises, and he's a shoo-in. ;D

I doubt our Astronaut friend here, Mrs. Lisa Marie Nowak, will be getting her own show on VH1, or an E! True Hollywood story, no, the media is just going to roast NASA and the military over a stupid incident caused, seemingly, by just one crazy person.

You never know... going to jail did wonders for Martha Stewart's career... ;)

Seriously, while a TV show might not be the result, I'm sure book and screenplay offers are already pouring in.

Then there's the repercussions for NASA and space flight in general... the average person is becoming more and more anti-space (and anti-science), and this will just be another nail in the coffin. "Those crazy astronauts..."

If she were an actress or pop singer, or even a CEO or polititican, she'd be embarking on an exciting new career as Somebody Who Had a Big, Dramatic ,Very Public Meltdown (That Involved Sex and Jealousy), But Is Feeling Much Better Now (these people are worshipped like gods in the USA)... but because she's an astronaut and a Navy pilot, she's screwed, and NASA and the military will both suffer for it.  >:(

Wow. Reading this, I finally realize that humanity will NEVER make it to the stars, no matter how much some of us wish otherwise.  :'(

Unless there's a profit in it, I doubt it will ever happen... well, maybe China will pull it off. ;D
